Meet the Team

Jessica graduated from Lakeland High School in 2004.

She served in the US Navy from 2004- 2008. She was designated as a Machinist Mate and served aboard the USS Ronald Reagan.

After Jessica separated, she used her GI Bill to get a BS in Criminal Justice at Lewis Clark State College, in Coeur d’Alene. Jessica’s senior project for her program was about Veterans Treatment court. She did externships with District 1 Probation and Parole in Coeur d’Alene, ID and Adult Probation in Cochise County, AZ.

After college Jessica was hired at the Kootenai County Public Defender’s office and worked her way up to legal assistant.

When a position opened at Veteran Services for an assistant, Jessica made the lateral move. Then the Kootenai County BOCC approved a second Veteran Service Officer position, and she has been and accredited Veteran Service Officer since October 2023. Jessica is a member of American Legion and Auxiliary at Post 149 in Athol, ID and a member of Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 1473 in Spirit Lake, ID.

Jessica has been with the Veterans Treatment Court since the first hearing. She is the Mentor Coordinator and a Mentor. Jessica also serves on the board for the Friends of Veteran Treatment Court.
